About Cheryl Major

Cheryl Major walking with Chloe at Woofstock Oct 2012Cheryl Major has been a volunteer at The Buddy Dog Humane Society in Sudbury, Massachusetts since 1999, and was elected to their Board of Trustees in 2008.   As a result of her involvement with Buddy Dog, Cheryl became involved with CPR Pets, an unfunded, all volunteer group dedicated to the Protection and Rescue of Pets.  With CPR Pets, she has participated in the passing of two bills concerning animal protection at both the state and city levels.  She has testified on several occasions before special committees at the State House and the Boston City Council.  She received a citation for her efforts to prevent a pet rental company from opening its doors here in Massachusetts from the Boston City Council.  For over ten years, Cheryl was a regular guest on New England Cable News (NECN) on their “Adopt a Pet Segment”, bringing with her a dog or cat from the Buddy Dog shelter who was looking for a safe, loving home.

Cheryl’s blog, HealthyDogsWorld.com, is a labor of love.  This blog is dedicated to the joys and challenges of dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages with whom we gratefully and joyfully share our lives.
